Infectious diseases expert Professor Robert Booy has called for Victorian schools to resume face-to-face learning as soon as possible.

Speaking to Virginia Trioli on Mornings, Professor Booy said children are 40 per cent less likely to transmit COVID-19 than adults.

“The prevalence of COVID is lower in schools than the local community, so schools are not seeding the community,” he said. “They are not the source of our problems.”
